With an outstanding performance against Aberdeen this week, we have more or less sealed a Champions League spot for next year, which is a financial boost we need. Hope that there is a few quid for Walter to spend next season as the majority of our players are not worthy of the blue shirt
With the defeat in Europe and nothing more to play for except 2nd spot, Rangers' season is over. What we need to do from here on in is prepare for next season and prepare our title challenge. There is already strong rumour of 1 or 2 top quality signings on the way and with 2-3 already signed pre contracts the future can only get better. Players will need to start playing for the shirt next season as I can forsee a massive clear out come summer!
Now that Walter Smith has taken charge of PLG's team he has so far got the best out of players that were not performing before. With only one defeat in over 10 games and that was away in europe, I think everyone will agree that it has been a great start for the man. Heres hoping we will secure 2nd spot and push for the title next season. Maybe more....
The full third round draw is as follows:
Celtic v
Dumbarton
St Johnstone v Ayr United
Ross County v Partick Thistle
